North Somerset Council suspends Tree Works at the Uplands

As part of the housing development on Land South of the Uplands residents had been informed that work to cut down trees would begin on Monday.

Following an enquiry by concerned resident and N.A.G. supporter, Cllr. Ollie Ellis contacted North Somerset Council to seek assurances that trees would not be cut down whilst there are nesting birds.

Cllr Ellis has received assurances that no trees will be cut down in the immediate future and and that an ecologist will be employed to ensure wildlife is appropriately protected during the development.
